Reinforcing its commitment to bridging science and society, scientists from #NCPOR engaged with students across Goa as part of Vidnyan Dhara 2026 – A Mega Science Lecture Series.
On 2 February 2026, Dr. Sarat C Tripathy, Scientist-F, delivered an insightful lecture on the role of polar oceans in regulating global climate at the Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, .
Subsequently, on 4 February 2026, Dr. Yogesh Ray, Scientist-F, addressed students at Goa Engineering College, sharing experiences from Antarctic research and science in extreme environments. On the same day, Dr. Mahesh Badnal, Project Scientist-III, spoke at the Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, #Sanquelim, highlighting the relevance of polar regions to climate change.
Dr. Rohit Srivastava delivered talk on “Science Beyond Borders: India’s Arctic Endeavour” to the students at Shree Sateri Pissani Education Society’s Shri Gopal Gaonkar Memorial College (Goa Multi-Faculty College),Goa.
The Mega Lecture Series is organised by the Goa State Higher Education Council and the Directorate of Higher Education, in association with the Research and Development and Innovation (RDI) Cell.
