he 24th Research Advisory Committee (RAC) Meeting with a new leadership and composition was held at NCPOR, Goa, from 04–05 December 2025 under the chairmanship of Dr. Rasik Ravindra, a veteran polar scientist and former Director, NCPOR. The meeting reviewed the institute’s scientific progress in the polar and ocean realms. The critical assessment, insightful recommendations, and guidance provided by the RAC members continue to play a pivotal role in strengthening NCPOR’s scientific endeavours. Three international experts - Dr. Petra Heil (British Antarctic Survey), Dr. Kenny Matsuoka (Norwegian Polar Institute) and Dr. Frank Lamy (Alfred Wegener Institute) provided an international perspectives to NCPOR's vision.
