Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR), delivered a plenary talk on “Antarctic Science in a Changing World.” He highlighted SCAR’s role in addressing the issue of climate change, noting global temps at +1.5°C above pre-industrial levels and Antarctica warming up to 5x faster, posing lasting global risks. During his address, he also emphasized the importance and need to communicate science to the policy makers.
