As part of World Environment Day 2025, NCPOR hosted exclusive sessions of the Science On a Sphere (SOS) show for around 200 staff, students, and visitors—offering a visually immersive journey through Earth’s dynamic systems. Using real-time global data projected on a 3D sphere, one of the featured segments of the SOS experience focused on marine microplastic pollution and its devastating impact on ocean life. Viewers explored how plastic travels through oceans, why it matters, and how collective action can make a difference. This innovative tool is not just science—it’s a call to protect our planet, rethink plastic use, and commit to informed, sustainable choices.
