As a prelude to NCPOR's Silver Jubilee celebrations, Founding Director Dr. P.C. Pandey shared inspiring stories of NCPOR’s journey—from its origins as the Antarctic Study Centre to its transformation into the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research. He highlighted the challenges of establishing the institute and commended its efforts in achieving global recognition. Director of NCPOR, Dr. Thamban Meloth, felicitated Dr. P.C. Pandey and thanked him for his invaluable contributions to building this premier polar research institute.
