On 2nd May, 2024, the fourth phase of the expedition onboard R/V commenced its voyage to locate hydrothermal vent fields and decipher the tectonic & structural environment of India's polymetallic sulphide exploration area. Dr. Bijesh C.M and a team of scientists from NCPOR, NIOT, CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography and Geological Survey of India will uncover hidden treasures of polymetallic sulphide minerals using cutting-edge Autonomous Underwater Vehicles in the Indian Ocean.
