NCPOR celebrated it's 23rd Foundation Day on 05th April 2023

NCPOR celebrated it's 23rd Foundation Day in the gracious presence of Chief guest -Honorable Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant; Special Guest- Dr. Prakash Chauhan, Director, NRSC-ISRO, Dr. Thamban Meloth, Director Dr. Rahul Mohan, Dr. Vijay Kumar MoES and other dignitaries. Dr. Avinash Kumar coordinated the event and Dr. Rahul Mohan delivered the welcome address & briefed about the NCPOR journey. Dr. Thamban Meloth discussed the institute's vision to make Indian Polar and ocean research to new heights.

In his address, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant appreciated the world-class research being carried out at NCPOR and also discussed the importance of conducting polar research. 

On this special occasion, Dr. Pramod Sawant along with Dr. Prakash Chauhan, Director NRSC- ISRO, Dr. Thamban Meloth & Dr. Rahul Mohan released NCPOR's first Polar Science Comic in Hindi, English & Konkani to create awareness about polar science among children & general public.
