The  foundation stone for Container Yard was laid by Dr. M. Rajeevan, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Govt. of India on 14th May 2019 in NCPOR, Goa premises.The Yard shall mainly cater to Antarctic programme for aggregation/segregation and stuffing of cargo for different Antarctic Stations. It will have the capability to house 72 nos of 20’ feet ISO Containers in a stack of three.
