International Polar Week celebrated at NCAOR on 21st September, 2017 to promote polar education among students. A series of activities like a talk on climate change and global warming delivered by Dr. M. Ravichandran, Director, NCAOR. Polar Quiz Competition has organised for the college students to promote active learning about Polar Regions. NCAOR research students displayed theirs posters showcasing the major activities of NCAOR, to acquaint the students with the polar research, as also inform them on importance of polar regions. This has been ably supported by the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) with the Screening of Documentary- ‘Glacial Balance’. Live interaction with the NCAOR scientists in Arctic gave the audience an impression about the Indian research base Himadri situated in the scientific village of NyAlesund, Norway.
