The National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Goa, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Creative Media Designers, Kolkata, a subsidiary of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) for the development of India’s first dedicated Polar and Ocean Museum, to be established in Goa.
The MoA was signed by Dr. Thamban Meloth, Director, NCPOR, and Shri Amitabh, Managing Director, Creative Media Designers, marking a significant step towards creating a world-class science communication and public engagement facility focused on India's polar and ocean research initiatives.
The proposed museum will offer visitors an engaging journey into the fascinating worlds of the Arctic, Antarctic, Himalayas, and the deep oceans through a blend of science, technology, art, and immersive storytelling.
